1. Monster High 8GB MP3 Player – Stylish But Cheaply Made Music Box
It has bold black and pink colors and buttons that are large and easy to press. The included earbuds fit directly into the ear. There is a one year warranty included.
I can’t really recommend this one. I have heard of it having so many problems and issues that I would have to tell you to pass on this one and look elsewhere for a more quality product.
2. Sing Along MP3 Player – Babies First Karaoke Machine
Digital downloads can be played off of a USB flash drive that is not included.
The buttons are easy to understand and easy to use. Users can play, pause, skip forward, skip back, and power it on and off. A microphone is attached that has a power switch as well.
While your child is performing colorful light effects will be part of their show.
You will need to purchase four C batteries.
If you have a child that loves to sing and dance this is a pretty good gift. You will have to play close attention that they don’t pull the USB flash drive out and the microphone occasionally has some issues, but you child will love listening to and singing their favorite songs with it.

This player is programmable allowing you to choose which songs you want to listen to. A repeat function is included as well.
You can connect other audio devices to it through the line in. A USB port is used to connect even more devices. You can even use your Smartphone with it and listen to the music playing on it. There seems to be nothing but problems when you try to get any of these inputs to work.
The website says that n adapter is included to power this device but is not. You can use 6 C batteries that are not included to make it portable. They will love being able to take it with them wherever they go. Anti-skip technology is used to help stop skipping while it is being moved around.
If this product had a better ability to play the music that it is supposed to, it would be worth buying. It seems only to produce errors when you try the three different input options. You might want to try this one out before you buy it and make sure that it will play what you want it to.

There is an adjustable seat belt that keeps your child safe while riding around. Lights on the front and back and a horn make it seem a little more realistic. The MP3 player and FM radio with a volume control let them listen to their favorite tunes while they are riding around.
There seems to many production issues that had caused this product not to work when they get it. Customer service is available to help you get it running, but it should run in the first place.

Child MP3 Player buyers guide
That about wraps up this guide to the best MP3 player for a kid. I hope that the buyer’s guide helped you to figure out what type of MP3 player would be best for your child and the features that they will get the most out of. Maybe you found something perfect in my reviews that fit the description you have in mind. Enjoy your search.
Types of MP3 Players
Two basic types of MP3 players dominate the market. Hard drive-based MP3 players and flash-based MP3 players are both available. Each has their own benefits and drawbacks.
Hard Drive-Based MP3 Players
A hard drive-based MP3 player operates sort of like a mini-computer. These have large capacities and weigh more than flash-based players. Hard drive-based MP3 players are heavier and have moving components that work while it is playing. This makes for a bad choice for using during activities like running and jumping.
Flash-Based MP3 Players
There are no moving parts inside flash-based MP3 players. The audio files are stored on flash memory. This can either be internal flash memory or memory cards that can be inserted. They generally have less storage than hard drive-based MP3 players, but memory cards have become rather high-capacity giving plenty of storage space for a large collection of music.
MP3 Player Functions
The first MP3 players were very limited as to what they could do. The new MP3 players being made, however, are getting more and more things packed into them to increase there value. The more functions that a device has the higher the price will be, so you should decide exactly what you are looking for in an MP3 player before you begin shopping.
Video and Photos
Many MP3 players have the ability to also be used as a picture or video viewing device. They have color screens to navigate files and watch the videos you put on it. They are limited to viewing on their tiny screens they have but can be a nice alternative to a portable DVD player or tablet.
Video or Digital Camera
Many MP3 players now include cameras allowing the user to take pictures and videos that store on the device’s memory. Having a child that is interested in photography and music would love a device that has this included. They are usually included on more expensive devices.
Hard drive-based MP3 players often have issues picking up FM radio signal because of the moving parts they have. If the kid you’re purchasing for has a couple of radio stations they like to listen to, this can be a good feature to include on their device.
Recording audio is another common feature found on current MP3 players. They can either record music or your voice. An analog input line is needed to record audio from an outside source connected with a cable. Voice recorders have a lower quality that is recorded with an internal microphone. This might be a fun feature for children to play with.
Many MP3 players can store many different types of files and can be used as a flash drive themselves. Connect your device to one computer and copy the files you want to it and take the MP3 player with you. For kids that need to take digital copies of papers or other homework with them to school, this would be a beneficial feature.
Digital signal processing allows the user to change the sound in a few different ways. Equalizers and bass boosts are both different types of DSP. They can improve the sound of digital music to better suit the user’s tastes.
Playback options can have a significant impact on how satisfied the child will be with the device. Basic playback features are available on most while the ability to create and edit playlists is a great feature to have.
A hold switch on an MP3 player helps users avoid skipping tracks during physical activities. It is easy to hit a button while you are running and jumping but if you have a hold switch, the device will disable the controls. This is a good option for children who are going to be active while listening to their players.
Having a child that is constantly accessing social networks and YouTube will make this a necessity on their MP3 player. Many devices include Wi-Fi access through a wireless connection. After connecting to a wireless network, they will be able to access mobile versions of many websites.
An MP3 player can sometimes run apps that will give access to many more features. These apps can be in the form of games, stores, and anything in between. Most Apple devices allow you to access apps available on the App Store, while on an Android device you can access the Google Play store.
Three different types of displays are available on MP3 players today. Some have touch screens, others have multi-touch retina displays, and the rest have color displays. Touch screens let you input your decisions with the touch of your finger. Multi-touch Retina displays allow you to make selections by using your finger as well but are clearer and have more definition that standard touch screens.
Some MP3 players use regular disposable batteries that you have to replace. Many have a rechargeable battery that can be used again after you recharge it. Finding a device that has a long battery life will let the user have a longer time to listen to their music before having to replace or recharge the power source. A kid will hate a gift that only lasts an hour or two between charges.
There are many more features offered by different companies, but this is the common things that you will find while you are searching. Knowing these different options and what the child will be using the device for will help you decide which device is the best.
